Notes

Moorings and fish pens clutter this already marginal anchorage. Punta Ipala offers some protection from northerly winds but swell rolls in from every direction. There is a beach at the head of the bay but otherwise the rugged shoreline is scattered with uncharted rocks.

Approaches

When entering the bay stay clear of the fish pens which are anchored close to the west shore. They are poorly lit so if approaching at night it is a good idea to use radar or keep a close lookout.

Anchorage

Stay clear of the reef at the east end of the beach and find a sandy patch to drop anchor in 10m on a sandy rocky bottom. Dinghy ashore to the beach if swell permits.

Facilities

The village in the corner of the bay has a couple of restaurants and guest houses.
